What is Modified Corn Starch?
Modified corn starch is a type of starch that has undergone specific methods and processes to create improvements in its characteristics and properties. This type of modification does not involve genetic alteration, as different combinations of amylose/amylopectin may exist in corn. However, we do not use genetically modified materials in Novidon, and our modified corn starch does not derive from the production of genetically modified organisms. In practice, changes are made to the structure or properties of the starch, making it more suitable for use in modern processes.
